I just met a girl named Maria.

Journal Entry: Sun Mar 22, 2009, 11:12 PM

Ohmigod I finally have an appreciation for something done BEFORE the 90's.
her name is MARIA; [link] . That's right. West Side Story. I saw the movie back in elementary school and hated it and ever since and never gave it a chance. Poor little me- deprived of a beautiful thing.
What made me change my mind?
I saw the school's play
(which ~cheshirekatt113, ~takoyaki74, and ~proXyle are in! <3<3),
and LOVED it!!!! SDFKJHSDF
I can't explain in words how GREATl it was.
My best friend Mack landed the lead role of Tony and it was his first time auditioning for a play. Ever. He's a good singer! SDKFJHSDF I was so proud of him!
Totally didn't know he sang that well, though.
Hidden talent, much?

Now I'm, like, IN LOVE with the song "Maria", "Tonight" and other songs I totally forgot the names of. (lol big fan, right?)
I wonder what else my friends are hiding from me.
Which raises the question; Do any of you guys show your art to your friends?
I BARELY show my art to people because they're always like "wtf is that? A dog?"
>.>;;
But when I DO show it to a select few, who actually appreciate my work, they're always UBER surprised and say "Niki, I knew you were good but I didn't know you were THAT good"
^^^Ahahaha I get that one a lot.^^^
It's people like that, that inspire me to keep doing what I like. :3
It's always good to have great friends.

Life changing epiphany:
This past Thursday we watched a video in Economics about fads and how the market buy and sell fads by getting information by teens (Paying them to answer questions, attend a Sprite™ themed party hosted by MTV, etc.), and it's REALLY interesting.
Business, I mean.
I know it's sort of the ... propaganda cult but, hell, searching for underground fads and then mass-producing them?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Good business.

I got accepted into Chico and CSULA.
I've been planning on going to CSULA but now that i've been thinking about business, I might change my decision to go to Chico because they have a phenomenal business department there. Apparently.
And it's more of a party school.
:giggle:

This really wonderful person ~Xailai is having a contest for her sweet dog Cookie.
Cookie, recently had a stroke, which is one of the reasons why Xailai is holding the contest.
It would mean a lot for both her and me if more people would join.

Rarely do i show someone that isnt an artsy friend, my art.
Unless they ask, then i would.
:iconzaphaire:
Me too.
I sketch a lot during math and I always attempt to cover my binder with my arm, calculator, book, etc. but people are just so nosey and still try to look. >>;;

Lol lift it up and shove it in their face. XDDD
:icontoldrum:
I don't show my art to most people, although occasionally I'll see people take a quick glance if I'm drawing a sketch or something. Although some of the friends I have drawn around compliment me, which makes me feel warm and fuzzy but at the same time I say
"shddhcffdvh I'm not that good!"
But they inspire me too, and I draw little presents for my friends who really like my art. :3

Wahaeey, sounds awesome!
Our business lessons are never that interesting, the most exciting thing we have done is a WHOLE topic just on stock control.
